Founded by tuba player Ryan Hall and trombonist David Joseph in early 2017, The L Train Brass Band (LTBB) quickly grew from a small, second-line brass band interest group on Meetup to a thriving music community of nearly 50 active and contributing members. This rotating, ragtag ensemble covers a wide variety of music, from Pop and Hip-hop to Funk and traditional Dixieland Jazz – to eclectic original charts. LTBB continues to accelerate its growth as the performance ensemble of the Brooklyn Brass Band Collective, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving the NYC music community.
